I agree with you. The states that teach abstinence only are the same states that have the highest teen pregnancy rates in the country. They spend money on this abstinence garbage because of Christian values. Safe sex is a reachable goal, not no sex at all because we are very sexual beings.

Well when you’re dealing with such large numbers your sampling error DOES drop considerably. However, even if you took a simple random sample of 1000 from 6 billion people, you would be missing so many cultures that it would have very little meaning when trying to draw any conclusions about the religiousness of the world. And BTW, if you have a population of 37,000 you need a RANDOM sample of around 380 to get a 5% margin of error with 95% confidence. So you weren’t even close. Wanna try again?

Shoddy evidence? Considering there are 6 billion people in the world (roughly)…if you take a sample of 1000 and 999 of them say they are religious…then by your logic that would not be good enough, because 1000 people is so very little compared to 6 billion.
