This is a great video. My son is in Samuel's class at BMS, and I love how he talks about him the same way he talks about any of his other friends. I am sure Barbara O'Brian's accepting, matter-of-fact attitude goes a long way toward helping the kids treat others with disabilities in an accepting and matter-of-fact way.

This is a very empowering video. Thank you for sharing.

Dan, I want to say that your video shows the world what an amazing father you are and how much you care and want the best for Samuel, education. We all want that for our children. And inclusion is the best. I am looking for help for my son to beat the prejudiced system, why we should not have to fight for our rights, and entitlement. This should be given without any fight for we pay taxes and this is where it should go: our kids education. THEIR RIGHTS!

My 10 year old son has mild learning disability. I enrolled him in his home school district a few months ago for 2008-09, to be included in the general classroom with assistance. Special ed said that the school does not provide what IEP had outlined and that he should be in a self contained classroom. For me IEP is made to determine what is his weaknesses and assistance needed and not otherwise. This is my son's home school district! his community! Our taxes pay for his education. Please help!!
